Vegetable cultivation to fundraise for quake-stricken children’s food

Ratnanagar (Chitwan), July 8: A community in Madi located at the southern tip of Chitwan has started vegetable cultivation as part of a fundraising programme to bankroll the quake-stricken children’s studies and food expenses.
The locals took the initiative to irrigate around a bigha of land which was given on lease for free. The children orphaned during the massive earthquake will be the beneficiaries from the proceeds generated from the vegetable cultivation.
