Transportation resumes at Gulmi’s busiest road


Tamghas (Gulmi), July 10: The Rudrabeni – Bamitaksar road stretch which had remained obstructed for the past eight days following a monsoon-triggered landslide resumed operation from Saturday night.

The Nepal Army used explosives to blast a huge boulder stuck above the road at Badare cliff of Sahaghat and Johang section.

The District Administration Office, Gulmi had sent a letter to the Kaligandaki Corridor Road Construction Taskforce, Harmichaur to help in bringing the road back into operation.

The NA team headed by Resmi Raj Bhattarai, a technical engineer with the taskforce, responded to the letter and helped in clearing the road which had remained shut for more than a week.

Hundreds of vehicles and travellers were stranded after the road – considered the busiest in Gulmi district – shutdown. RSS
