President stresses on consolidating security and economic diplomacy


Kathmandu, Aug 24: President Bidya Devi Bhandari today stressed on consolidating the national unity, security and economic diplomacy by keeping the country’s overall interest at the centre.
During a meeting, with section officer trainees of diplomatic service undergoing training at Institute of Foreign Affairs, at the President’s Office, she pointed out the need for all the bodies in the public service to work for the people with a sense of service.
President Bhandari instructed the participants of the training to execute their duties with high moral ethics and by keeping national dignity on top. She also asked them to remain committed to making the diplomatic sector strong and capable.
It is today’s necessity to bring into practice the people-oriented civil service and not just keep it in slogan, she added.
Institute’s Executive Director, Prof Pannakaji Amatya, briefed the President on in-service training given to the officials. A total of 11 officials of the diplomatic service are participating in the three-month training. RSS
