Kathmandu, July 22: The CPN (Maoist Centre), which recently pulled out of the incumbent government, reducing it to minority, has decided to vote against the Finance Bill to be tabled in the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today to take decision on it.
The Maoist Centre will vote against the Bill as it has withdrawn from the government, said the Maoist Centre leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha. The Parliament meeting is scheduled for today at 4:30 pm.
The dispute over which should take precedence in discussions in parliament – finance bills or the no-confidence proposal – has been resolved after marathon consultations among the major parties. The parties have agreed to finalise the finance bill first before holding discussion on the no-confidence proposal today itself.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) along with other parties including the Nepali Congress had on July 13 registered a no-confidence proposal in Parliament against the government. Before this, the Parliament meeting was deferred from time to time as the parties were at loggerheads regarding the precedence of the House agenda. RSS
