Lawmakers urge gov to provide relief to quake and landslide victims


Kathmandu, June 19: Lawmakers have urged the government to provide relief to the quake and landslide survivors.
In today’s parliament meeting, lawmaker Gopal Dahit blamed the government of not being serious in addressing the protesting Tarai-centric parties’ demand.
Similarly, lawmakers Tirtha Raj Ranabhat and Navraj Sharma also urged for the same. Lawmaker Kamla Panta demanded speaker’s direction to the government to make it accountable.
Likewise, lawmaker Phupendra Kshetri urged the government to provide relief support to the victims of Taplejung Municipality landslide. A local Amrit Tamang lost his four-year old daughter and four-year son in the incident.
Lawmakers, Ongdi Sherpa, Durga Poudel, Rameswar Dhungel, Ram Chandra Pokharel stressed on reaching immediate relief support to the disaster survivors as soon as possible.
On the other hand, lawmaker Prem Suwal drew the attention of house on growing risk of Third World War originating from the Asia region.
Lawmakers Rammani Bidari, Balram Adhikari and Surendra Prakash Jaiswal also raised contemporary issues in the meeting. RSS
