Electricity supply to 44 houses in Lahan cut off as punishment


Lahan (Siraha), Aug 4: Nepal Electricity Authority has started cutting off electricity supply in the district, following the failure of clients to pay electricity bills for long.
Lahan-based NEA office Chief Madhav Prasad Yadav said that the electricity supply to the total 44 houses in the district were disconnected till August 1 after the clients did not respond to the repeated urge to pay the bills.
He said that the arrears amounting to around one million rupees are yet to be paid by the customers. He said that the office cut off electricity connection to the total 287 clients in the fiscal year 2072\73 BS and around Rs 3.2 million in arrears is yet to be received. RSS
