Chitwan local peace committee receives 780 conflict-era cases


Chitwan, June 24: The local peace committee, Chitwan has received 780 serious cases committed during the decade-long Maoist insurgency so far since the committee was set up.
Of the cases, 736 are related to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission while 44 belong to the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
According to a government data, 338 were killed in the Maoist conflict while 38 were reported to be disappearing in the district. RSS
