Bhotekoshi floodwater sweeps away three more houses in Tatopani

Chautara, July 18: Floodwater from the Bhotekoshi River swept away three more houses at Koplang village of Tatopani-2, Sindhupalchowk on Saturday and Sunday.
Torrential rains for the past few days and rampant soil erosion by the swollen river have put human settlements in the area at high risk of disasters, according to Border Police Office Kodari’s Police Inspector Khumlal Bhusal. The Liping Bazar of Tatopani has already turned lifeless as the flooded river swept away many houses, forcing the locals to shift to safer places, he said. RSS
