Damak, Jan 28: Minister for Law, Agni Kharel, said that although the country has immense possibility of getting huge income from tourism promotion, no progress has been achieved as per the target.
Laying foundation stone of the Infrastructure Development Programme organised by Chandu Tribeni Wetland and Tourism Development Centre at Maharanijhoda in Jhapa district today, Minister Kharel said that the government would help development of such tourism sites in local level for the tourism promotion.
He said, “We can make good income from village-level tourism sites. The incumbent has been stressing on internal tourism promotion of the country.”
Minister Kharel said that the government has this year allocated Rs 1 million for necessary infrastructure development to make the centre a tourism hub the development of necessary and added that the government was committed to provide necessary help.
Similarly, Minister Kharel inaugurated the ambulance service provided by Indian government to Maharanijhoda Health Post at Gauradaha-7 this morning.
