Jumla, June 19: An eight – day zonal level basic training on reconciliation has kicked off for the first time in Karnali organized by Community Reconciliatory Society with support from Reconciliation Council.
Inaugurating the training, Appellate Court, Jumla Chief Judge, Tanka Bahadur Pun, spoke of the role everyone should play in enforcing the reconciliation policy introduced by the government to resolve disputes at the local level.
Appellate Court, Jumla Judge, Bhanu Bhakta Sharma Neupane, termed reconciliation as an alternative to resolving the differences.
Nepal Bar Association’s District Bar Unit Jumla officer, Devendra Raj Sharma, said reconciliation was a sustainable idea for establishing peace and added that both the warring sides could not lose but only win in such a compromise.
A total of 27 persons from Humla, Dolpa, Kalikot, Mugu and Jumla are taking part in the training programme, District Court, Jumla Registrar, Pushpa Raj Pandey said. RSS
