6.2 magnitude earthquake hits Vanuatu: USGS


SYDNEY, June 14, 2016 (AFP) – A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit the South Pacific island of Vanuatu Tuesday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
Vanuatu is part of the “Ring of Fire”, a zone of tectonic activity around the Pacific that is subject to frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
