138 complaints of conflict-era human rights violation in Bhojpur


Bhojpur, June 14: So far 138 complaints of the violation of human rights dating back to the decade long armed conflict have been registered at Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission to Investigate Enforced Disappearances.
The TRC is the transitional justice mechanism formed to find out the truth surroundings the incidents of human rights violation reported during the armed conflict in the country and recommend for legal actions.
According to local peace committee, Bhojpur Secretary Tek Bahadur Shrestha, the TRC received 128 complaints while 10 complaints have been lodged at the CIED.
The deadline for registering the complaints at TRC is until June 16 and at the CIED will receive the complaints until July 15. RSS
